Doctors told Brian McCandless he might not live to see high school graduation. Born with cystic fibrosis, McCandless has defied all odds to become a competitive cyclist, triathlete and physical education teacher at Charter High School. On Saturday June 13th 2015, McCandless and his team will set out on Brian's Ride, a cycling trip spanning 3,400 miles from San Francisco to Annapolis to raise money and awareness for cystic fibrosis. McCandless will participate in Resolution 5k, a fundraiser for Brian's Ride, on New Year's Day at Riverside Park. More information can be found at www.briansride.org.
