Scrubbed in this morning with thoracic surgeon Dr. Mark Malias at Indian River Medical Center covering the use of The da Vinci robotic surgical system. The feature was on developments in lung cancer treatment, and the patient was having multiple cancerous lobes removed through this minimally invasive surgery.

    Hi Ben it's your cousin Matt. Hope you and your wife are well! Your mom sent me a link to your blog. If you didn't know, that's the systems I work on. I'm glad you got to see the daVinci used on a patient and hope you enjoyed the experience!

      Hey Matt! Great to hear from you. Sorry for the late response, my wife was astute enough to notice you had commented on the de Vinci post. I did wonder if that was the system you worked on...very impressive technology and your a sharp guy to be able to navigate/fix them...How are things with you and your family?
